Using daily lesson plans, theatre games, and crafts; participants will have a fully immersive experience of all that goes into putting on a play. The workshop culminates with a performance of the participants’ original play. IMPLEMENTATION: Once learning that theatre is a collaborative art, participants will determine which part of the process they identify with most, and choose a discipline for the week (i.e., performing, props, sets, costuming, stage crew, etc.). On day one, all participants will learn about the many areas of the theatre arts through discussion and activities. On days 2-4, participants will be divided into “work” groups focusing on the disciplines that they choose. On day 5, participants will put all the pieces together to put up a show.
